William Grose was a settler, entrepreneur, activist, and hotelier in Seattle, WA, during the 1800s. He was known for being generous, kind, and respected throughout Seattle and Washington State via his hotel, Our House, Seattle's second-biggest hotel at the time, or his work advancing how black people were seen and treated in WA & aboard while simultaneously becoming one of the wealthiest businessmen in Seattle.
